I am a self taught artist, originally from Southern California.
Actually, I think that I inherited my creative side. My Grandmother was a professional seamstress and would patiently sit with me and teach me how to sew. She taught me how to make patterns, I use that today in the clothes I make for my Art Dolls. My Aunt, Marlene Robinson May, worked as an animator for many studios including Walt Disney, Hanna - Barbera and Chuck Jones. I grew up watching her draw some of my favorite cartoons. This, and the genes of my equally creative parents, inspired in me a great love of art of all kinds.I have called the Pacific Northwest home for 20 something years now. My husband and I have raised our sons here and I find a great amount of inspiration in the natural beauty that surrounds us. Mr. S drives Tug Boats, and though he is away a lot, we make the most of the time we are together!
My home studio allows me the space to create and construct my art. I work as a full time artist, now that my children have grown. Below is a collage of some of our favorite places, people, hobbies and animals in our lives
Thank you for stopping by to learn a little more about me.
